Amazing Husband

I have logged A LOT of hours at work this week...and it is only Thursday! It has been a very busy week! So, I have been extremely more tired than usual. I was trying not to fall asleep at the wheel when I was driving home from work this evening...I was thinking...man I just want to go home and go to sleep. No working out for this girl today...I'm BEAT!

I walk in to find this:

It is a little hard to read, but it says:

Hope this helps you relax,
House clean, Slads clean( Gave Addie a bath), Tubs and Toilets clean, Layla haircut @ 8am tomorrow morning, Flowers for no reason, towels folded and put up, kitchen clean,
my love for you now and always!!!

How sweet is my husband??? I am a VERY lucky girl. Especially on a week like this one!
What a blessing!

Weekend Feburary 3rd-5th

We had a pretty good week. Busy, busy, busy as always. Clint hurt his neck and had to go to the ER for medicine and started seeing a chiropractor. It is feeling better, but for a week there he was unable to move! Eek! Still house hunting. Found out on Monday that our landlord is putting our home on the market...so we are in a little more of a hurry than we thought! But, we are still being patient and faithful to waiting for the home God has for us.

We had a wonderful weekend! On Friday we left Shreveport around 4:30PM on our way to Longview, TX to see our good friends Jordan and Peyton Gibbons. We got to see their home for the first time, went out to eat, and played games until 11:30PM. We wanted to stay all night, but we had to head back to Shreveport to let our girls out. Had an absolute blast with those two.; precious people!

Saturday we got our first King Cake of the season from Rollin' in the Dough and it was AMAZING!!! We went and looked at a few homes. Then our good friends Jason and Grace Rogers came over to have a few drinks and play some games. It was great catching up with them and adding a little competition!

Sunday we woke up and went to church then looked at about 4 houses. CJ came into town and we started preparing food for our B-Group (Sunday School Class) Super Bowl party at our leaders home. We headed over to their home around 3:30PM and had a fabulous time visiting with our friends from Sunday school. Such a wonderful group of people. We are completely blessed to have a great community of friends and believers. After a year and a half of praying for a community, God has surely blessed us more than we imagined.

Another week ahead of us!

Praises:
1. Dustin, our Brother-In-Law, had another MRI and he is still cancer free!!!!
2. We have found an amazing community, Sunday School group, Bible Studies/Small Groups!

Prayer Requests:
1. My RD exam. That I can be diligent about studying and I will kick that test's butt!
2. Our housing situation. That God will prepare our hearts for what He wants us to do.
3. For Clint's neck to completely heal.

Please feel free to send us your prayer requests if you have any. We would love to pray for you and your loved ones. clintdavis27@gmail.com jaciejdavis@gmail.com

We love y'all! Have a blessed week!

Catching Up!

Hello! Things have been CRAZY BUSY with the Davis's! I, Jacie, have managed to get sick twice in this short month of January! Well. Thank God for steroid shots! I have had two now and I am very thankful for them!

Catching up from our last post...

Clint and I went to Bella Vista, AR the weekend of Jan 6th-10th. Mom and I got to play with our new embroidery machine while Clint and Dad went golfing. We got some much needed relaxing and great visiting! It was wonderful! A few pictures to capture our awesome time:

Mom and Dad

These pictures were taken shortly before LSU decided to embarrass themselves...but...we will skip that!

Tuesday, January 10th, our Sunday School group started a new Ladies Bible study that is meeting every Wednesday night now! It is awesome! I am thoroughly enjoying it. God has really just placed His hands on this process. My friend Amber and I had this idea to start a "branch off" Small group off of another group back in October 2011 and we have been praying about it ever since. It is amazing to see who God picked out for this group! It is so breath-taking and I am thrilled to see where it is going!

Then the following weekend, January 13th-15th, we babysat Reese (Ashley's little boy) on Friday evening while Ashley and CJ went car shopping. Then CJ and Ashley came into town on Saturday afternoon. CJ and Ashley watched the Saints game and Clint and I went to serve with The Hub, a local ministry associated with the church we are going to, Broadmoor Baptist. We had a really good time. Clint played with the kids and helped serve food and I sorted through donated clothes and helped families find their sizes. It was really fulfilling and we are super excited to get involved with this ministry. Then Sunday, CJ and Ashley came to church with us which was really fun for them to meet our new friends!

Clint started feeling bad that Sunday and winded up getting sick. Then...

Mom and Dad came into town on Thursday, January 19th. We went out to eat with my Nana on Friday evening. I got a scratchy/sore throat Friday afternoon...then Mom and Dad left Saturday morning to go back home. And I have been down hill ever since.

Luckily, I was able to stay home on Tuesday to get some much needed rest! This weekend we are hoping to have no company and not to go anywhere! Sorry everyone! We have LOVED and simply enjoyed every second with our friends and family, but we are hoping to literally do nothing this weekend!

We have lots of fun and exciting events for every weekend for the next 2 months, so we need to get some rest!!!

Last thing before prayer requests. I found this awesome website a while back and I just thought I would share it with everyone. It is called "The Dating Diva's". They have a lot of really cute ideas on dating your spouse. They come up with some really fun ideas. Plus I LOVE the idea of their slogan: Strengthening Marriages, One Date at a Time! How encouraging! http://www.thedatingdivas.com/

Prayer Requests:
1. Continued Prayers for my Brother-In-Law, Dustin, that his brain cancer will stay in remission and that his strength will continue to increase as he overcomes the damage from chemo.
2. PLEASE pray for my RD exam. I will be taking it for the 3rd and final time at the end of Feb. I will let you know the date when I know it. I really need prayers that I can allow myself to believe that God will help me pass this test.
3. Please pray for Clint and I as we try to make a decision with what God wants us to do with our first home; to buy or to build.
4. Please pray for our household's health.

If y'all have any prayers requests, please let Clint and I know. We would love to pray for you and your family.

Love,

The Davis's

He is doing something for good...

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Well...all we know is God is doing something good. We surely cannot see it and have no idea why we are in this situation...but God is doing something for the glory of His kingdom.

I failed my RD exam for the second time today with the same lovely score of 24. Just one point away from passing...again. I have no idea whether to scream, yell, cry, laugh, go work-out, eat, or just be. I am emotionless right now. We are extremely upset.

I guess the worst part out of all of this is why...? Why is this happening? How can I feel like I have passed a test with flying colors to fail again? How can one test of random questions determine whether or not you can practice as a Dietitian?

Please pray for Clint and me to have a sense of peace and for God to reveal His plan and explanation for all of this. Please pray for me to jump back on the wagon immediately to start studying to take it in another 40 days from today. Please just pray for us.

Thanksgiving 2011

We had a really awesome Thanksgiving this year. Due to the fact that I had to study so much and Clint and I had to work, we stayed home and had our best friend's CJ and Ashley come from Wednesday-Sunday. It was really fun. Here are some pictures from our Holiday Week-Weekend.
