Knee High In Books

Started feeling much better on Monday, Feb 20th! Thanks for all the healing prayers. Took some time to really get rested last week/weekend and I'm back up to full speed. Yay!

I started hitting the books pretty hard on Monday. I feel like I'm getting off to a good start. This week was not as successful as it could have been, but I don't feel like I'm anywhere near burn out mode--- so that is REALLY wonderful. We had a lot of extra time this week to exercise, get caught up on cleaning, spend some really awesome time together, and enjoy this beautiful weather we have been having. We were able to run a few times this week outside, grill, take the dogs out, and window shop. I think that really helped our spirits to have some awesome weather. Sunny, warm days makes everyone happy!

Clint has a bachelor party for Stephen McMullan this weekend in Fayetteville, AR. He left very early this morning and will be back late tomorrow night. PERFECT weekend for me to study study study. I have been at it all day...of course with many breaks along the way! :)

The View from My End:
(T-16 days)

Unfortunately Clint woke up with a cold on Thursday morning...I think he is catching what I left off. It looks like his is not developing as quickly as mine did. Hopefully his will pass quickly.

Clint and I started a new daily devotional by Sarah Young. We are really delving into the Word and covering ourselves with the Holy Spirit during this time of chaos. We were randomly reading through the Bible every morning, but I am really enjoying this book and having a specific message to read every day. We figured this could be a cool tradition of picking out a new devotional together at the start of every year. This could be something we can pass down to our children that our family goes every year to pick out a new devotional together to keep Christ the center of our lives and everything we do. Thought I would share that idea in case anyone else is interested in doing the same.

Baby shower tomorrow, Sunday, Feb 26th, for a friend, Valerie, from Sunday school. Excited about the girls getting together from our Sunday school group!

Prayer Requests:

1. Continued prayers for our Brother-in-Law, Dustin, that his brain cancer continues to stay in remission.
2. Prayers that I can be diligent during this time of studying for my RD exam. Exam date March 13th. Prayers that I will PASS this test!
3. WHEN I pass my test... Prayers that God will help us make a decision on a potential home.
4. Prayers that Clint will not get sick!

Praises:

1. We have had a lot of recent weekend events get canceled. We really needed things to get canceled because we were feeling very overwhelmed and chaotic. This will help me have more time to study for my test and not feel stressed.
2. Clint and I got to spend A LOT of quality time together this week and it was wonderful and very refreshing for both of us!
3. I am WELL! Woohoo.
4. We found a house we really love and we are patiently waiting for my test results to see if this is where God is leading us.

As always, thanks again for all of you who faithfully pray for us! Thanks for all the emails and messages from all of you who read our blog and stay updated on our life! We love reading your emails!! Please do not hesitate to send us prayer requests! We would love to pray for you and your families/friends!

Ready for some crawfish!!! Geaux Tigers! :)

Prayers Needed

Well...I am sick again. Third time in the year of 2012. I have been sick every other two weeks out of this year and well...I'm just plain sick of it.

I am sure this is a combination of being in a "sickly" work environment and being in a very STRESSFUL work environment. I have been known, by all who know me, to have a very weak immune system along with not being able to handle a lot of stress very well. I often get very stressed out...and get sick.

So, we could use a lot of prayers right now. My health is not the only thing effected in this situation; my work load piles up, I am unable to emotional give to my husband, I am unable to work out, unable to eat well, and I am unable to study for my RD exam. Everything suffers. So, we need prayers that God will give my heart and mind some peace especially over the next 3 weeks while I am preparing for my RD exam (March 13th). That God will help me to feel very rested and ready to take on my days. That God will protect our marriage in the midst of this chaos. That God will give me the emotional stability to be present for my husband. All of these things I need badly for the next 3 weeks!

Prayers that Clint can continue to be the most PATIENT human being I have ever known. That he can continue to support me in the ways I need. Prayers that he can continue to be understanding. He has been AMAZING through this entire process and I pray that he will have the strength to continue.

Thanks to all of you who pray for us on a daily basis. We really appreciate it. We know that God brings us through situations in life to make us stronger and better for what is yet to come. God is working all things out for the good of those who are called by Him and who love Him. We were not promised that these situations would be easy; but we are promised the love, grace, forgiveness, and mercy of our Lord.

Again, please put Tuesday, March 13th down on your calendars. I will be taking my RD exam and I DESPERATELY need to pass this test! Please start praying for me in this process of studying. Thanks again.

Amazing Husband

I have logged A LOT of hours at work this week...and it is only Thursday! It has been a very busy week! So, I have been extremely more tired than usual. I was trying not to fall asleep at the wheel when I was driving home from work this evening...I was thinking...man I just want to go home and go to sleep. No working out for this girl today...I'm BEAT!

I walk in to find this:

It is a little hard to read, but it says:

Hope this helps you relax,
House clean, Slads clean( Gave Addie a bath), Tubs and Toilets clean, Layla haircut @ 8am tomorrow morning, Flowers for no reason, towels folded and put up, kitchen clean,
my love for you now and always!!!

How sweet is my husband??? I am a VERY lucky girl. Especially on a week like this one!

Weekend Feburary 3rd-5th

We had a pretty good week. Busy, busy, busy as always. Clint hurt his neck and had to go to the ER for medicine and started seeing a chiropractor. It is feeling better, but for a week there he was unable to move! Eek! Still house hunting. Found out on Monday that our landlord is putting our home on the market...so we are in a little more of a hurry than we thought! But, we are still being patient and faithful to waiting for the home God has for us.

We had a wonderful weekend! On Friday we left Shreveport around 4:30PM on our way to Longview, TX to see our good friends Jordan and Peyton Gibbons. We got to see their home for the first time, went out to eat, and played games until 11:30PM. We wanted to stay all night, but we had to head back to Shreveport to let our girls out. Had an absolute blast with those two.; precious people!

Saturday we got our first King Cake of the season from Rollin' in the Dough and it was AMAZING!!! We went and looked at a few homes. Then our good friends Jason and Grace Rogers came over to have a few drinks and play some games. It was great catching up with them and adding a little competition!

Sunday we woke up and went to church then looked at about 4 houses. CJ came into town and we started preparing food for our B-Group (Sunday School Class) Super Bowl party at our leaders home. We headed over to their home around 3:30PM and had a fabulous time visiting with our friends from Sunday school. Such a wonderful group of people. We are completely blessed to have a great community of friends and believers. After a year and a half of praying for a community, God has surely blessed us more than we imagined.

Another week ahead of us!

Praises:
1. Dustin, our Brother-In-Law, had another MRI and he is still cancer free!!!!
2. We have found an amazing community, Sunday School group, Bible Studies/Small Groups!

Prayer Requests:
1. My RD exam. That I can be diligent about studying and I will kick that test's butt!
2. Our housing situation. That God will prepare our hearts for what He wants us to do.
3. For Clint's neck to completely heal.

Please feel free to send us your prayer requests if you have any. We would love to pray for you and your loved ones. clintdavis27@gmail.com jaciejdavis@gmail.com

We love y'all! Have a blessed week!
